As a former teacher and admissions counselor, Maggie has a passion for helping students and their families navigate the college admissions process. With a warm and empathetic approach, she especially enjoys serving as an advocate for high school students as they navigate what can be a complex and high-pressure process.
Maggie joined College Bound Advising from Tufts University School of Medicine, where she served as an Admissions Counselor. Her experience in higher education offers valuable insight into how students can prepare compelling applications—both in writing and in interviews. Prior to that, she was an Associate Director of Admission at School Year Abroad and a Spanish teacher and advisor at Greenwich Academy. Her dual role at Greenwich Academy allowed her to support students academically and personally, providing guidance and support during critical years of growth, ultimately leading to her transition into college advising.
While teaching, Maggie earned her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education with the Independent School Teaching Residency program. Before that, she received her bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Spanish. During her time at Bowdoin, she served as a tour guide and senior interviewer, sparking her interest in college counseling. She now serves as a Class Chair for the Bowdoin College Alumni Interviewer program. Her deep commitment to inclusive education, combined with her classroom experience and admissions expertise, enables her to support students holistically—meeting them where they are and helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.
Maggie is also an avid portrait photographer, and she especially enjoys capturing seniors as they celebrate their high school and college graduations. Outside of work, Maggie enjoys exploring new places, bird watching, and spending time with her wife and their famous corgi, Baker.
